Ahmet Tolga Turker is a scholar at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Arizona, with a Ph.D. from University of Cincinnati (2008). Prior to relocating to Tucson, he was Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Istanbul Arel University. His research interests include authoritarian regime variations in Central Asia, geopolitics of energy, and Islamist mobilization and regional security policies in the Middle East and Central Asia.
